Thank you for your entry. Please find below your final race instructions.

Please visit our race sponsors from 6pm outside registration on the night:

*Race numbers and chips are collected from the registration desk at Monkseaton High School (Seatonville Rd, Whitley Bay NE25 9EQ) from 6pm on race night*

*Race start is 19:15*

Race and Route

Please note there is now a Ladies Team Prize Shield to be won AND that the race starts approx 60 yards further on than in years since we have gone in the Clockwise direction and consequently there is a longer finish straight, up towards the School.

Also, if you’re struggling with injury or work and have a transfer in mind, they are possible up until 6pm Sunday May 12th.

Travel & Parking

The school has a small car park, when this car park is full the marshalls will ask you to park elsewhere. Please park considerately in the nearby roads, or FoxHunters Playing Fields Car Park – as allowed – where all residents have had a letter delivered to warn them. Alternatively, Monkseaton Metro Station is a 12 minute walk from the School.

Toilet facilities

Are within the school. We have no nominated changing areas.

Water & T-Shirts

There is an official water station in the Layby outside the School, just before half way round.

As you cross the finish line, please follow instruction from marshals to have your chip removed and collect your race T-shirts.

*The T-Shirt size orders are submitted according to available entry data. If you have a T-Shirt issue on the night then email your name and email address to info@nspoly.org <mailto:info@nspoly.org>  after the event.

Refreshments Stand

Hot & Cold drinks and trays of Bakes and Cakes will be available within the school for a small contribution.

Safety Briefing

Please listen to the announcements from the Starter so you are aware of hazards. There are very few but if you are aware of them in advance you can anticipate and focus on getting those PB’s.

Risk Assessment

*You must dynamically risk assess your route* Please note it is your responsibility to look out for trip & fall hazards such as tree roots, stumps, pot holes and loose gravel.

It is very important that you conduct a personal risk assessment continuously as you make your way around the course.

Emergency Procedures

We are not expecting any issues however should it be necessary to stop the race for any reason and/or evacuate the course you will be alerted via the marshals.

The marshals will direct you to safety … Please follow their instructions.

Miscellaneous

Please note that the use of MP3 players and mobile phones during the race is dangerous and will not be allowed. You will be reported to the Race Referee and potentially disqualified.

Please treat both the course and other users with respect, and especially don’t litter.

Our race crew and many of our support staff have given up their own time to allow you to compete. Please be courteous … and any abuse towards marshals, event staff and other competitors will not be tolerated and will result in you being disqualified.

We look forward very much to seeing you all Wednesday evening, thank you all for entering and continuing to making this event a great success.

We hope you enjoy the event and have a great race, GOOD LUCK!!!
