Perhaps celebrating the centenary of The Representation of the People Act (which enabled some women to vote) a few days early, the Poly women were out in force this weekend (4th February). Firstly in the NEMAA (North East Masters Athletic Association) Cross Country in Darlington.   Alison Cummings gained a Gold in her age group while Alison Smith (wearing her ‘lucky’ stripy shorts again!) took silver, as did Katherine Davis.  Here they are all in action (l to r Alison Smith, Alison Cummings and Katherine Davis).

Meanwhile, 25 miles further north, at the re-arranged Dalton Park 10k, Rachel McIntyre, Jil Ribchester Davies and Claire Harlow did the Poly proud. Rachel was second lady overall, Jil 5th (1st in her age group with a PB)  and Claire was 8th overall, again with a PB.  So a very busy and fruitful weekend for the Poly women.
