Hotter than July at the London Marathon
Stockton Duathlon, Wallsend 5K or London Marathon?
It was a busy weekend of events on 28th/29th April. Those that chose the London Marathon were exposed to considerably higher temperatures to those in the North East.
Congratulations to all the athletes who paraded their Poly vests in the capital:
Peter Atkinson, Anita Attala, Louise Coultate, Colin Eberhardt, Cheryl Hall, Mike Harvey, Michael Parkinson, Greg Penn, Michelle Thompson, Natalie Thorburn, Ivan Thorne, Chris Waite. For some the blistering 22 degree heat was too much, so well done Michael Parkinson, Greg Penn, Michelle Thompson, Natalie Thorburn for such good times in difficult conditions (3.01.09, 3.15.59, 3.26.05 and 3.27.43 respectively).
Also representing the Poly in London were Josh Blevins and Issy Robinson who competed in the London Mini Marathon. The photo shows them with their medals, looking rather fresher than their fellow Poly athletes in the London Marathon!
